This print is from the “U.P. Train Project". When train cars have out-lived their productivity, they are laid to rest on rail road tracks in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They become covered with vegetation and, in the winter, snow and ice. They are located in very isolated areas. As I physically approach each train, I feel a calm spiritual connection. I imagine what their lives were like when they carried ore to the big steel mills. It had to be an exciting time for those who held the throttle of the engines that pulled these massive vessel.
Giclee print shipped in tube and is ready to mount. Each print is personally signed by the artist, J. Mark Rainey.
